I picked Gary Ampel because I like what his pictures mean , they have a maening to each one. Like the one is titled Spirit Of The Tribe;Thi print features Native american and Indian themes. Gary Ampel threw the american Indian, is able to return us to the land nd the spirit of independance that is the backbone of our proud and unique nation. Ampel was known as a born painter for years, his transition to surrealism was a step the artists enjoyed taking. His paintings show the dignity and tradition in the faces of the first men and women to know and love this country. His utilization of the animals that were so much of Indian life, esential to theirspiritaul and well being identifies the people of this land in a way that all americans consider their birthrite. Here are a couple more of his pictures "Memories Of The Past", "Born Hunters", Eagle and The White Wolf", "Bear Montage",Spirit Of The Great Hawk", I can't find exactly were he lives for I found their to be three Gary's and this one lives in Pompan Beach, Fl. http:nativiveamericanartists.com I have four questions, they are;1) Do you think the artists went threw any of this stuff he potrays in his pictures? 2)What do you think is in his mind when he makes these pictures? 3)In Memories of The Past, do you think this is a ex, a mother, a chid? 4)Is he even an Indian like I thouight? Leonardo da Vinci
I always, was a fan of Leonardo da Vinci. His abilities were unlimited. He did everything that was possible to do. He could draw anything and had the imagination to draw logical things of the future. Additionally, being in the as a class of inventor.
The picture of the Last Super is compelling when a person knows the stories of Christ’s Disciples. The stories of deception and friendship surround his disciples and he knows it, but does not say anything to any one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/leonardo_da_vinci Der Blaue Reiter
This art is interesting because of its abstract qualities. And again critics can not really called abstract the Der Blaue Reiter history only lasted between December 1911 and May 1912.
There were two artists really promoting the art. A German, named Franz Marc and Wassily Kandinsky, who were devoted to this form of art at the time. www.schoenberg.at/6_archiv/paintings/catalogue_raison Norman Rockwell
The “Tatoo Artist”, of 1944 Norman Rockwell’s collection from the “Pictures for the America People” is humorously real. I think Norman was capturing the realism of American people. This seen for sure could have taken place in W.W.II when, there was a lot of military men. These military men were traveling and would often find romance, breaking it off when being shipped out with the uncertainty of not surviving. After surviving a campaign, the sailors were looking and finding romance again. This sailor surely has good luck and I think he’s more proud of his luck, than Betty being tattooed on his arm. I was in this situation and can relate to the sailor. Corcoran.org/exhibitions/previous_results Partridge By; Maass, David
Any kind of wild animals captured on canvas or photographed is special. The unique colors and species of birds are amazing. The different colors that identify a species that make it stand out are truly beautiful. I think this technique is what David Maass strives to capture ever time he draws.
David Maass is an artist of wild life. He has a cabin-studio on Lake Minnetonka near Minneapolis-St. Paul. www.askart.com/askart/artist/search Ignudo By; Michelangelo
Michelangelo’s Ignudo gives me an example to practice sketching human forms. Some day I wasn’t to carve wood. While sketching humans and animals, this gives me experience in the right proportions of each body part for a good resemblance of the figure.
Michelangelo was thinking about the sexuality of the male is my impression of what Michelangelo was conveying. He was expressing confidence in holding the power of the male parts between man and woman. www.chinatownconnection.com/michelangelo_art.htm Vincent Van Goph
I found this picture to be disturbing because the man is an elderly man and with age comes emotional knowledge that would make a elderly person not so emotional because of the fact that a elderly person has the ability and experience to coop with problems. So, I think this man is surely at his limits and can not cope or never has to cope with a new catastrophic problem, he now faces. www.bing.com/search?q=vincent+van+goph Prometheus, 1877
“ Georges Seurat (1859-1891) was the inventor of pointillism. Seurat applied tiny dots of color of paint to canvas which blended to create a shimmering light and subtle color effect of variations” (Couthion, Pierre) www.webmeeum.poboxes.info/wm/paint/auth/seurat Claude Monet
I can relate to Claude Monet when he used brush and Indian ink. The drawing or sketch looks like it did not take much time. After sketching, Monet filled in the shadowing with brush. I think this is a picture of a fisherman watching the boats come in. the line of his sight is on the level of a plane that a ship would be ob at a distance of being several 100 feet out of dock. www.claudemanetworks.com/art/3/paintings Salvador Dali www.bing.com/images/search?q=salvdor+dali+paintings&forms Pierre-Auguste Rnoir www.renoirgallery.com/gallery

Navah Mirrage
I was at Art Street, Downtown, Green Bay, Sunday, afternoon, when I walked up to my first art tent. The display of dance art called belly dancing was in progress. The lady I interviewed on stage name is Navah. Navah can be found on YouTube.com, as Navah Jen. Another site is Navah Mirrage.com, for the full Navah Mirage show. While viewing Navah Mirrage I was under a spell.
The beauty, movement, music, and the look of luring mystery caught my attention. Navah was expressing a warm, luring, and mysterious smile and this message was being expressed in her eyes as well. Navah was dressed in a blue costume, like the one worn in the “I Dream of Jeannie” movie. The music Navah was dancing to be a mixture of Hebrew, Africa, and American Hebrew.
I felt very drawn to just keep watching. While I examined the costumes and the style of dance, I got the feeling of being in a trance, at the same time.
For certain I was losing control of my thoughts to serenity. The experience was relaxing andtranquil.www.navahmiragedance@yahoo.com
Three Dimension Art, Clay Pottery
I always like three dimensional arts. This form of clay pottery caught my attention. This form of clay pottery is formed by; spaying with copper powder and placing sawdust and news papers are then covered on the form after it is formed. The next step is set it on fire. The colors appear after certain temperatures are reached. All the art is made at Lake Mills, down by Madison, WI. Mr. Johnson has been making these forms for thirty years. Mr. Johnson, can be found at www.brucefohnsonclaystudio.com for more information, he would be happy to hear from any one.
I was drawn to this form of art by the bright dark colors that each piece had. This clay form is bright, bold commanding colors of browns, yellows, purples, reds, and blues. The art had a flat paint appearance: not a semi-gloss or high gloss finish. The finish gave an appearance of dry skin on the man’s torso. A very eye catching piece or clay pottery.
Whimsical Art
Whimsical Art by: Stephanie and Jeff Pierson. The pieces are created from ceramic and air brushed acrylic along with enamel paints. This was discovered at Art Street, downtown Green Bay, WI.
As I walked by, I was curious about all the florescent colors that reminded me of the Hippie era of the 1960`s and 1970`s art. Everyone had a florescent poster and black light in that era. Psychedelic was a fad for the stereo type of a Hippie. This art form is referred as; far-out man or referred to as heavy. Found at www.pondscuminc.com
Photography
The next art form is Photography by; Ryan Tischer. If you’re interested go to this information at website, www.ryantischerphoto.com. It was about 1:30 pm when I walked by this art at downtown Art Street on Sunday, afternoon, the 30th of August to be exact.
This lighting shot caught my eye. The lighting bright white actually stands out from the rest of the picture. This art form has a way of making the brightness effect gives the picture life. Just how bright lighting is at the moment you see it. Lighting gives off that energy to make it glow; this art has the same effect. The part of the picture that is supposed to glow actually does glow.
Etching Art
I want to tell about while I was at Green Bay’s Art Street on August 30th. While there, I seen, for my first time, some etching art by; JA. Wennertan. The etchings were created by etching on a copper plate. There were sand paintings and some silk screen art forms on display also by JA. Wennertan.
I like antiques, so this form of art would surely enhance any antique room. The frames were painted wood that had raised rings giving the wood a worn look. The frame of the etching was painted with maybe a black high gloss spray paint, certainly an oil base. The etchings were all black and white with a gothic like lettering adding to the antique style. This art really gives a setting to the time of no electricity, wood stoves and horse drawn vehicles of the time. Found at www.jawennertan@yahoo.com
Stained Glass Windows
Creator of stained glass windows is a form of art I also appreciate. Churches and front doors of big old homes always have stained glass windows. This art form is created by tom Nedobeck which can be located on t_nedobeck@hotmail.com.
Different styles of etched and stained glass together give different affects. The etched glass results make the glass appear to be covered with frost at winter time made me curious; I was impressed such a glass could be created. The beveled glass has the appearance of cut diamonds. I grew up with Jack Frost on the windows. This effect caught my attention. Today double pane windows are common and prevent frost from forming on widows. I believe when looking through this style gives a person an image of someone out side their house and prevents another person from looking in. These window glass designs also may restrict sun light to home extent from entering a person’s home.
Positive Space Art
Alieyn Kay, owner/Artist of Positive Space Art and can be found on www.positivespaceart.com. This art was found at downtown Green Bay’s Art Street on the 30th of August, 2009.
I had to find some painting for my collection and find something unique. Cubism is a unique style I believe that is pretty unique. I think geometric forms are integrated in the picture to give depth. Sort of a three dimensional architech`s drawing with a horizon point. My thought was that these birds are maybe paired for life and both parents protect their young. The scene is wet, but made to be loving, warm, and is a home for the family of birds.
American Native Art
This American Native Art is hand crafted by Amelia Cornelius. Corn Husk Dolls have and are still being made from centuries ago.
These little dolls are made in a human form with their dress hand sewn and decorated with bead work. The moccasins are made of buckskin and the dress is black velvet. I was impressed on the small size, which would create a very hard time to sew the costumes. Nevertheless, the costumes are put together perfectly. Two sticks, that shown at the bottom of the doll enables a person to hold and play with the dolls. Found at home; 920-964-1845, asks for Amelia Cornelius.
Glass Kiln Vase
We all buy flowers for different reasons so I have an eye for a good loking vase. I like the color Maroon, but this purple vase stood out to me. Theresome multi colored vases: different designs melted together. But, this plain purple vase is what I would have chosen.
Getting to the end of the street was John and Margaret Crahen tent with tables of blown and melted glass. This art can be found atart@evergreenglass.net and the name of the shop is evergreen glass works. This store is at Baraboo, WI. Nickel Silver & Cut Nails
Nickel Silver and Cut Nails is another first for me. I was impressed with the art created with cut nails. Ron Schmidt has been and still is making art with nickel silver soldered to cut nails. “King of The Nail Sculptors” is located at www.ronoriginals.com and you have to go to 221 old Dixie HW. No. 16, Tequesta, Fla. If you want to see him in person making his art.
I used to weld, yes this form was impressing metal sculpturing.

Artist and Art forms
1.)Pablo Picasso; Cubism- a non-objective approach to painting developed originally in France by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque around 1906. Cubism is characterized by emphasizing the process of construction, of creating a pictorial rhythm, and converting the represented forms into the essential
2.)Jean Arp; Surrealism-the principles, ideals, or practice of producing fantastic or incongruous imagery or effects in art, literature, film, or theater by means of unnatural or irrational side by side combinations.
3.) Pop Art-in which commonplace objects (as road signs, hamburgers, comic strips, or soup cans) are used as subject matter and are often physically incorporated in the work. Andy Warhol was a trained commercial artist, and is best known for founding (or claiming to found) pop art. He developed the technique of projecting photographic images to a silk screen, a process that enabled him to produce repetitive patterns within the same piece relatively quickly.
4.) Folk Art is the traditional typically anonymous art of usually untrained people. Anna Mary Robertson was blessed to have lived long enough to get in a little painting time. For a while, she sold paintings at the county fair, while also having a group of works on display in the local drugstore's window. Fate led collector Louis Caldor to pass through Hoosick Falls on a summer trip, and he promptly bought the lot. She reproduced countless times in a variety of media and continued to paint to the end, producing over 1000 works in total.
5.) Collage Art a creative work that resembles such a composition in incorporating various materials or element. Clare Murray- was a collector of things and a saver of objects I deemed precious whether they really were or not.
6.) Conceptual Art – means art where the idea or concept is more important than the seen image, usually abstracted image. By using elements to suggest deeper thoughts to trigger thoughts in the viewer rather than appreciation of skilled imagery. Keith Haring under the encouragement of Keith Sonnler and Joseph Kossuth, Haring began to experiment in Conceptualism. Even more of his inspiration came from comic strips, cartoons, and the graffiti that he saw in the New York streets. Haring spent sometime actually contributing to the graffiti, covering advertisements with chalk and markers.
7.) Woodcarving- the art of fashioning or ornamenting objects of wood by cutting with a sharp hand held tools. Ted Swiatek love for art was noticed since childhood. He began his artistic career by carving potatoes and soaps. His passion and dedication for art continued as he took classes in carving, sculpting, portrait sketching, and artistic work in metal.
8.) Pointillism the theory or practice in art of applying small strokes or dots of color to a surface so that from a distance they blend together. Paul Signac was one of the originators of the technique known as pointillism.
9.) 3D chalk drawing- Speaks for itself. Julian Beever is a British chalk artist who creates 3D chalk drawings on pavement using a projection called anamorphism that creates the illusion. His street paintings appear to defy the laws of perspective. Some of the pieces are over thirty feet long but appear to be about three feet high.
10.) Abstract Portraitism -Abstract paintings of people are paintings that are not intended to be photographic representations of the human figure, but in which the human figure can nevertheless be discerned. Amedeo Modigliani is a great example of a person who has painted abstract portraitism.
1.) Expressionism- The artist tries to express a certain feeling about something. The art doesnt necessarily always look exactly like the image the artist is trying to capture, but more artistically abstract. Artists in this field include Marc Chagall and Ludwig Kirchner.
2.) Pop Art- Short for "Popular Art," this style is inspired by comic strips, cartoons, entertainment, advertising and much more. This style is usually colorful and repetitive. Famous artist in this genre is Andy Warhol. This is one of my favorites.
3.) Futurism- It was developed in the first ten years of the 20th century. It focused on the development and speed of creation.
4.) Art Deco- A popular international movement in 1925 to 1940's which brought in styles like architecture, visual art and interior design as well as construction.
5.) Manuscript- the art of creating fancy manuscript/writing during the 1300's and moths and butterflies were often seen in great detail in this form.
6.) Fashion- Some may not call it an art, everyone looking out for the next big trend. Designers are the masterminds behind this "art style" as well as "fashion experts."
7.) Jewelry- people create necklaces, rings, bracelets etc. out of silver, gold, beads, gemstones, etc.
8.) DNA Art- you can use your DNA patterns to create abstract, landscape or portraits. This is a real unique type of art.
9.) Chinese Papercuts- Originated in China, hence the name "Chinese Papercuts." Originated around the 1st century A.D. These were constructed out of a very thin paper and used to decorate the plants women would wear in their hair.
10.) Ancient Egyptian Art- This style is about 5000 years old and includes sculpture ( sphynxes, persain cats etc.), painting (heiroglyphics, pictographs), and architecture (pyramids). This I think is one of the most admirable art forms. Blue, green, yellow and red were all symbolic colors which were often used in Egyptian painting.

Artists and Art Forms
Art Forms:
*Pop Art - (1958-1975)
Pop Art aka Popular Art made its way to the U.S. in the mid 1960's. It rejected normal, regular abstract art. The concept of Pop Art wasn't so much the art but the attitudes that lead to it and the attitudes about it. Its characterized by the themes and techniques drawn from popular mass culture or mainstream/ what was popular at that time. Ideas were taken from advertising, comic books, and typical cultural objects. It was a combination of humor, criticism, and a lot of irony to make commentary on contemporary society and culture. It was an attempt to bring art into the American daily life. Pop Art focused its attention on familiar images of pop culture like billboards, comic strips, magazine ads, and supermarket products. In America, versus other countries where Pop Art was popular, it was the return of the "hard-edged" and "representational" art. Americans liked the irony and typical reality and in America, we made it more bold and aggressive. The most renown Pop Art artist is most likely Andy Warhol, he used photo realism and a mass producing printmaker called a seriagraphy.
(www.wwar.com, www.wikipedia.org, and www.artlex.com)
*Impressionism - (1865-1885)
The Impressionism Movement was started in Paris and it rebelled against the norm. Edward Manet was famous for "Dejeuner sur L'herbe" which means The Lunch on the Grass, which started the movement.Artists would emphasize loose imagery and the color palettes are bright and colorful; there aren't that many blacks or grays. Artists liked the use of color, tone, and texture; and most exaggerated sunlight, shadows, and direct and reflected light. To make the colors even more vibrant, they would use short brush strokes with contrasting colors, other than mixing the hues together. Most critics found their work to be incomplete.
*Decoupage -
Decoupage is the art of decorating an object by gluing paper cutouts from magazines or other types of paper. Each layer would then be sealed with layers of varnish. "Decoupage" is French for "to cut out". Traditionally artists would use 30-40 layers and then their pieces would be sanded or a polished look. Sometimes layers could be under glass or raised for a 3-D effect. Sometimes these works of art could take up to a year and sometimes longer depending on how many layers of varnish and how many times
the pieces would be sanded. Decoupage was and still is considered a "poor mans'" art because most of the materials are everyday household items.

Graffiti dates all the way back to Roman Empire and Ancient Greece. Ancient graffiti usually included love declarations, political rhetoric, and simple words of thought. Versuvius (Roman) used graffiti to cast spells and curses, good and bad love declarations, alphabets, political slogans, and famous quotes. One time he even gave the name and address of a popular prostitute. Through ancient graffiti, it gave clues to pronounce Latin through misspelled words. In modern times artists use spray paint, normal paint, and markers. Most artists like to remain anonymous to avoid consequences, especially if their work is offensive. Graffiti is most popular on tain box cars, in subways, and on the side of buildings.

Arte Sella is an international exhibition of contemporary art which began life in 1986. It takes place in the open, in the fields and woods of the Sella Valley (Borgo Valsugana municipality, in the Province of Trento). Since 1996 the Arte Sella project has been laid out along a path in the woods on the southern slope of the Armentera Mount. The ideal route, named ARTENATURA (“Art in Nature”) which has taken shape in this way is designed to enable visitors to observe the works of art and at the same time to enjoy the natural site itself with its different types of woods, rocks and monumental treesThe idea of the exhibition is not just to display works of art but also to show the creative process involved in them: the works are followed day by day in their development as they are created and the artists are called upon to express their respectful relationship with nature from which they draw inspiration.

The hair, especially hair known as the stuffing, once recovered after brushing, is carefully preserved until the amount necessary to achieve the knit structure.
The hair is spun into balls of 50 g by a specialist before returning via mail, to its owner. http://ifitshipitshere.blogspot.com/2008/10/wearing-hair-of-dog-portraits-of-people.html

Der Blaue Reiter
This art is interesting because of its abstract qualities. And again critics can not really called abstract the Der Blaue Reiter history only lasted between December 1911 and May 1912.
There were two artists really promoting the art. A German, named Franz Marc and Wassily Kandinsky, who were devoted to this form of art at the time.

Norman Rockwell

Partridge By; Maass, David
Any kind of wild animals captured on canvas or photographed is special. The unique colors and species of birds are amazing. The different colors that identify a species that make it stand out are truly beautiful. I think this technique is what David Maass strives to capture ever time he draws.
David Maass is an artist of wild life. He has a cabin-studio on Lake Minnetonka near Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Ignudo By; Michelangelo
Michelangelo’s Ignudo gives me an example to practice sketching human forms. Some day I wasn’t to carve wood. While sketching humans and animals, this gives me experience in the right proportions of each body part for a good resemblance of the figure.
Michelangelo was thinking about the sexuality of the male is my impression of what Michelangelo was conveying. He was expressing confidence in holding the power of the male parts between man and woman.

Vincent Van Goph
I found this picture to be disturbing because the man is an elderly man and with age comes emotional knowledge that would make a elderly person not so emotional because of the fact that a elderly person has the ability and experience to coop with problems. So, I think this man is surely at his limits and can not cope or never has to cope with a new catastrophic problem, he now faces.

Claude Monet
I can relate to Claude Monet when he used brush and Indian ink. The drawing or sketch looks like it did not take much time. After sketching, Monet filled in the shadowing with brush.
I think this is a picture of a fisherman watching the boats come in. the line of his sight is on the level of a plane that a ship would be ob at a distance of being several 100 feet out of dock.

He developed the technique of projecting photographic images to a silk screen, a process that enabled him to produce repetitive patterns within the same piece relatively quickly.
http://www.artquotes.net/masters/warhol-biography.htm

Artists & Artforms
ART:

7.) Jewelry- people create necklaces, rings, bracelets etc. out of silver, gold, beads, gemstones, etc.
8.) DNA Art- you can use your DNA patterns to create abstract, landscape or portraits. This is a real unique type of art.

I believe this style of art is coming back with todays younger generation.

*Graffiti -
Graffiti is the name for images or lettering scratched, srcrawled, painted, or marked in any manner on property. Its any type of public markings that are simple written words to complicated wall paintings and murals. Graffiti is usually unwanted and seen as vandalism and defacing property. Its used to communicate social or political messages. Some critics see graffiti worthy enough to be shown in galleries while others think its pure garbage. Graffiti is most popular on tain box cars, in subways, and on the side of buildings.

she was working in a factory. That poster is often mixed up with Norman Rockwell's "Rosie the Riveter" because its release name was "Rosie". Rockwell's was poster was inspired by a patriotic song. The actual poster only showed in the Westingthouse only for two weeks because then the next poster in the series had to go up. So the "We Can Do It" poster wasn't famous right away.

I dont like to see gang grafitti on buildings because i know this doesnt represent good art. As I researched grafitti art in other countries grafitti has some real talented artist.

Art and Nature-
Arte Sella is an international exhibition of contemporary art which began life in 1986.

The horse is made out of Drift Wood and Bronze and even that wood is collected from waste and recycled. This galloping horse looks so real that if you give it a very fast glimpse, then you would most definitely mistake it for a real one. Pet Clothes-
These aren't just lovely portraits of people posing with their pets, but look a little closely and you'll see that the owners are wearing sweaters and vests that resemble the fur of their dogs. And they should because they were literally made from them. The hair, especially hair known as the stuffing, once recovered after brushing, is carefully preserved until the amount necessary to achieve the knit structure.
The hair is spun into balls of 50 g by a specialist before returning via mail, to its owner.
